Congratulations to Dr. Richard Shuman on acquiring Dental Associates of North Dallas from Dr. Robert Shaw and Dr. Bruce Sherrill, in Dallas, TX, in April 2021. After 40 years of a successful and rewarding career in dentistry together, Dr. Shaw and Dr. Sherrill made the decision to retire from clinical dentistry. Their goal was to find a successor who could administer the same degree of personal care they delivered over the years. After meeting Dr. Shuman and learning more about his background and experience, both Dr. Shaw and Dr. Sherrill agreed they had found their match.
Dr. Shuman is a proud native Texan and grew up in Coppell. He attended Baylor University in Waco and then earned his DDS degree from the UT Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He was a member of the Xi Psi Phi Fraternity while in dental school, just like Dr Shaw and Dr Sherrill! Dr. Shuman is proficient in general and cosmetic dentistry as well as a Certified Provider of Invisalign orthodontics. Prior to joining Dental Associates of North Dallas, Dr. Shuman worked as an associate dentist in the Dallas area. He is a member of several dental associations and firmly believes in continuing education in order to stay up to date with the latest treatments and procedures for his patients.
