It’s not often that a husband-and-wife dental team has the opportunity to transition their practices to another husband-and-wife team with the same specialties and a shared vision for the future. That’s exactly what brought Drs. Roger and Nadene Tipton together with Drs. Colleen and Michael Segall at Double T Smiles in Lubbock, Texas.
For more than 36 years, Dr. Roger Tipton and Dr. Nadene Tipton dedicated their careers to pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, respectively. Together, they built respected practices centered on exceptional patient care, strong relationships with referring doctors, and a genuine commitment to the families they served. As they began considering the next chapter of their careers, finding the right doctors to carry on what they had built was especially important.
That opportunity came through Drs. Colleen and Michael Segall, who had long dreamed of practicing together. Both are board-certified specialists with extensive clinical training and experience serving as military dental officers. Dr. Colleen Segall, a pediatric dentist, completed her specialty training at Texas A&M/Baylor College of Dentistry, while Dr. Michael Segall, an orthodontist, completed his specialty training through the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program. Their combined experience, commitment to their professions, and desire to establish lasting roots in Lubbock made them an excellent fit for Double T Smiles.
Throughout the process, both couples worked closely together to help ensure a thoughtful transition for patients, staff, and referring colleagues. The Tiptons’ willingness to remain involved and support the Segalls reflected the personal relationships and professional trust that made this opportunity so special.
Today, Drs. Colleen and Michael Segall continue serving the Lubbock community through Double T Smiles, building upon the foundation established by the Tiptons while bringing their own experience, enthusiasm, and vision to the practices.
