Congratulations to Dr. David Ta and David Vo of Lake Worth Pediatric Dentistry Associates (LWPDA) on acquiring Serengeti Smiles, the pediatric dental practice of Dr. Eddy “Dale” Martin, in Lake Worth, TX in September of 2021. For over 35 years, Dr. Martin dedicated his career to enhancing oral health of children from infancy to their teen years, all while actively serving in prominent roles with several Dental Associations and Committees. In 2006, Dr. Martin opened Serengeti Smiles with the mission of always making sure to create a positive experience for children with a wide range of temperamental and developmental levels. When the time came to finally retire, Dr. Martin wanted to make sure he found the perfect dentist to be successor. After meeting with Dr. Ta and Dr. Vo and learning more about their personal and clinical philosophies, he was pleased to know he had found two dentists to carry on his legacy!
Dr. Ta followed his dream to become a pediatric dentist after college and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington. He then received his certificate in pediatric dentistry at the University of Rochester and a Masters in Public Health from Yale University. He is passionate about getting to know the uniqueness of each child, building a trusting relationship, and understanding each family’s individual needs. Dr. David Vo was born and raised in the DFW area and attended SMU. He then went to Baylor College of Dentistry, where he received his D.D.S in 2010. After working as a general dentist for one year, he realized how much he truly enjoys working with children that he went back to school to specialize in pediatric dentistry. In 2014, he completed his pediatric dental residency at University of Nevada in Las Vegas and moved back to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to be closer to his family.
