Congratulations to Dr. Howard Kessner and Dr. Ellis Shwarts of Shwarts Family Dentistry on the successful merger of their practices in January 2023. Dr. Kessner proudly served the community for over 51 years. He built a strong relationship-based practice that maintained a high level of dental care for the generations of families and patients that came through the door. Dr. Kessner was regularly active in the community along with several dental associations throughout his career, including the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity where he met and got to know Dr. Shwarts.
Dr. Shwarts has been practicing in Richardson and had outgrown his previous office space. While searching for a new location, he discovered the adjacent space next to Dr. Kessner’s office was available. Due to their association, they mutually decided to merge their practices, thus providing a long-term solution for Dr. Kessner’s patients and practice as he moved toward retirement.
Born and raised in Dallas, Dr. Shwarts earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a 2016 graduate of the School of Dentistry at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. After graduation, Dr. Shwarts worked as an Associate Dentist in the Dallas area before assuming his current practice in Richardson. Dr. Shwarts possesses a wealth of knowledge, an advanced skill set in the latest dental technologies and a sincere desire to put patients first.
